Also, Sierra wanted to walk to school. As an overprotective mother, I wanted to take her to school on her first day. I wanted to make sure that she made it to her class, knew which door to go in, and know where the new crossing guard was. But as an independent child that she is, she wanted to walk to school with the big kids. Thanks to Garian & Hannah (& Floyd, today) for walking with Sierra. She was also extremely excited to now have a lunch hour at school. She wanted to get a lunch box (I know Camille, you are not going to approve, but I faultered and got her a Disney Princess Lunch Bag). She wanted to make sure that I knew exactly what she wanted on her sandwich, and she even managed the preparation to make sure I didn't get it wrong. Obviously she thinks that a lot of the stuff I do is wrong - "that's not the way Grandma does it!" Luckily today she just wanted Ham & Cheese, but thanks to Grandma, she thinks she might want tuna tomorrow. How on earth am I going to make a tuna sandwich? I wish Phil were here to do it for her! Maybe I will invest in some clothes pins. Heather, can you get me a surgical mask?
Well I talked to her after school and the day was a success. She did say that she didn't have enough time to finish her lunch because the nice lady that was sitting by her was talking. My guess? Sierra was doing ALL the talking.
Here is Savannah and Sydney saying goodbye to Sierra. Luckily Savannah had dressed herself (in the same dress that she dresses herself in every day). But Sydney is in her sleepers. Oh well, it was hard enough to get Sierra out the door with her hair done, breakfast finished, shoes on the right feet, and no tears. Luckily I was able to hold it together when Sierra left for school, but I did cry when I got to work. I don't know how Wednesday will go when Savannah starts Preschool.

The lunch box is fine. Dallin has a Spiderman one. Its when they have a comforter set and all their day wear is Disney that you need to worry.
Wow. I can't believe you have a first grader. Isn't that CRAZY! Your kids are adorable!
